Physical activity is essential to every child's physical and social well being. Young people need to have access to regular, well-organised and safely delivered sporting and recreational activities. In the ACT, many activities are available through community sport and recreation clubs, school curriculum and the accessibility to a wide range of facilities and open spaces.
Sport and Recreation works in partnership with a range of agencies and organisations towards providing quality physical activity opportunities for ACT children and young people. These key stakeholders include; other government agencies, the 3 education sectors, state sporting and recreational organisations, schools, clubs and the community.
