ACT PROGRESSES TO STEP 3.1
On 6 August 2020 it was announced that the ACT would move to Step 3.1 effective from 9am on Monday 10 August 2020.
While maintaining all that has been in place under Step 2.2+ including contact training/competition, group sizes (100) and use of communal facilities (where a risk assessment has been done and cleaning regime implemented), Step 3.1 will introduce scope for two significant changes for community sport:
- Allowance of up to 100 spectators (excluding participants and staff) in any indoor and outdoor venue provided that the one person per 4 square metres is maintained and physical distancing exist between spectators (unless from the same household); and
- While still advised where possible, removal of the compulsory requirement for community sports and venues to keep an attendance list for individual activities (training and competition).
Advice regarding sharing of equipment, limitations on social gatherings and general hygiene/cleaning continues.
